Professional Services

This start up professional service organisation wished to introduce straightforward terms and conditions of employment for their small staff base. This piece of work prompted the Managing Director to reassess the remuneration structure put in place initially and, working with Magenta HR, a revised bonus structure was introduced, taking into consideration business objectives and linking individual staff performance with business performance, ensuring all staff could benefit from its future success.


This established charity employed over twenty staff, as well as working with a considerable number of volunteer workers. Whilst the charity did not have specific consultancy requirements, they did have an ad hoc requirement for ongoing generalist HR support. Working on a retainer basis with Magenta HR ensured all employment policies and procedures were up to date, staff issues were managed effectively and ad hoc queries were dealt with quickly via phone or email. Magenta HR also provided advice and support during the annual salary review process, researching data, managing a fair and consistent process and communicating the changes to all personnel.

Magenta HR continues to work for the charity in this capacity.

In this particular case, the managing director required support to deal with a planned site relocation which was to affect 50% of the workforce. We presented a project strategy to the managing director which focused on the logistical implications for staff, relocation packages and in some cases, potential redundancy scenarios for some individuals. The project plan addressed all statutory legislative requirements, as well as ensured the positive morale and welfare of staff was maintained via a strong communication plan, including regular consultations with staff.

This preparation paid off, ensuring the relocation went smoothly, whilst maintaining and relocating key staff during the process.
